Das Festival KaZantip (großes "Z"!) fand ab Ende der 1990er Jahre bis 2013 immer auf der Krim statt. 70-100.000 Besucher aus aller Welt feierten ausgelassen auf dem Elektro-Festival. Der Organisator rief sogar die Republik "KaZantip" aus, statt einer Eintrittskarte kaufte man ein "Visum". Was bis dato eher als Scherz gedacht war, wurde im März 2014 Realität: Die ganze Region ist nach der völkerrechtswidrigen Anexion der Krim durch Russland nun nicht mehr Teil der Ukraine. 2014 fand das Festival nicht statt, 2015 wird es wieder am ursprünglichen Ort stattfinden. Nur nicht mehr in der Ukraine, sondern in Russland. / The music festival KaZantip (always written with capital "Z"!) started in the end of the 1990s and continued to 2013, taking place at the Crimea. 70-100.000 visitors from all over the world enjoyed electronic music. The organizers even proclaimed the "Republic of KaZantip", festival visitors bought "visa" instead of tickets. What was meant as a joke became reality in 2014 when, after the russian invasion of Crimea , the territory was no longer Ukrainian but Russian. 2014 the festivak did not take place. 2015 it will be organized on the same spot - but in a different county.
