Strandszene in Neum, BIH. Viele Touristen aus Osteuropa verbringen ihren Adriaurlaub in der kleinen Stadt, angezogen von den günstigen Preisen und der Nähe zu Split, Dubrovnik und Mostar. Neum liegt in Bosnien-Herzegovina und stellt den einzigen Meerzugang des Balkanlandes dar. Auf einer Länge von 9 km durchschneidet der Ort das kroatische Staatsgebiet (Neum-Korridor). Seit dem EU-Beitritt Kroatiens ist Neum auf beiden Seiten von EU-Außengrenzen eingeschlossen. / A scene in Neum, BIH. Cheap Prices and the close distance to Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia and to Mostar in Bosnia make the small citiy of Neum a good choice to spend the summer. Neum is the only place in Bosnia and Herzegovina where the country has access to the adriatic sea. Over a length of 9 kilometers the area cuts Croatian territory in two pieces. Since Croatia became part of the European Union, the city of Neum is enclosed between two EU-boarders.
