Die kroatische Nationalflagge wurde auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Bucht von Neum auf den Fels gemalt. Sie erinnert die Bewohner Neums an ihre kroatische Identität, obwohl der Ort Neum auf bosnischen Staatsgebiet liegt. Die Flagge ist von jedem Ort in Neum aus sichtbar. / A huge Croatian flag has been painted on the rocks at the opposite site of the bay of Neum. It is there to remind the people of Neum on their Croatin identity, although the citiy belongs to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The flag can be seen from everywhere in Neum. / Der kleine Ort Neum liegt in Bosnien-Herzegovina und bildet den einzigen Zugang zum Meer des Balkanlandes. Auf einer Länge von 9 km durchschneidet der Ort das kroatische Staatsgebiet (Neum-Korridor) Seit dem EU-Beitritt Kroatiens ist Neum auf beiden Seiten von EU-Außengrenzen eingeschlossen. / The small city of Neum in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only place in Bosnia, where the country has access to the adriatic sea. Over a length of 9 kilometers the area cuts Croatian territory in two pieces. Since Croatia became part of the European Union, the city of Neum is enclosed between two EU-boarders.
