Griechenland / Greece Lesbos 6 Mar 2020 Florian Bachmeier, n-ost n-ost_200307_Moria-68.jpg Zehra and Akimeh, both 16 years old, at a beach west from Skala Sykanimeas where they got on shore last night after being heavily harassed by Greek coastguard. Akimeh left her home with 13 years and worked for two years in Turkey as a dishwasher. In Kabul she lived as an orphan in an extended family and should marry with 13 years when she decided to leave, not after promising her cousin Zehra to call her when she was ready for crossing to Europe. After four months more, working together, they had 1000 USD for the crossing. In the picture Zehra is touching an amulet with two owls, the symbol of wisdom.
