Kuropaty galt in der Sowjetunion als Konzentrationslager der Nazis..In den 1980er Jahren fand man jedoch heraus, dass das Lager der sowjetischen NKDW als Raum für Erschießungen diente. Diese Aufdeckung begünstigte die demokratische Bewegung in Belarus. Heutzutage liegt wieder ein Mantel des Schweigens über der Vergangeheit. Von Tausenden von Opfern, unter ihnen hauptsächlich Juden, wurden bislang zwei namentlich identifiziert. / In Soviet Times, Kuropaty was said to be a concentration camp of the Nazis. In the 1980ies it was discovered that it had been an execution camp of the Sovjet NKDW instead. The discovery triggered the democratic movements in Belarus. Nowadays the past of the camp is again almost forgotten. Of thousands of victims, among them mostly Jews, so far only two could haven been identified ..
