Besonders auf dem Land leben viele in extremer Armut. Örtliche
Krankenstationen betreuen die Patienten. Valtinet. Etwa ein Drittel
der Weltbevölkerung ist mit dem Tuberkulose-Erreger infiziert,
jedoch nur bei etwa zehn Prozent kommt es zu einer aktiven
Tuberkulose. Bei 90 Prozent der Infizierten bleibt die Infektion
lebenslang latent, ohne Symptome auszulösen. // Moldova is still the poorest country of Europe. Hopes to join the European Union are high. After progress in the past years tuberculosis is on the rise again. The number of new patients raise since 2010 and is on a level that has not been reached since the late 90s.
